An Illegal who was here to work, back in the early eighties told me he sent all his money to his home country and can live like a king in his homeland compared to here in the US. That is why they all cram into an apt. and spend very little.

I used to own a restaurant and had a bunch of illegals working for me. All were hard working, doing the kind of work Americans don't want to do. However, some steal, many drink alcohol and beer taken from the business, and ultimately when our legal system started supporting them, they sued me for higher wages, even though I paid minimum wage and they didn't pay taxes.

I worked in Restuarants for years in NYC and most of the illegals hired were in the bigger cities but they branched out into other communities through the years. They know what they are doing. I met a guy who told me all his air flights, passport, and orther documentation was done at a Travel Agent here in the US.

Yep, my restaurant was also in NYC. The illegals saved their money and traveled home every year or 2 years and brought their cash to their families. I feel bad for those who made the sacrifice to work out of their poor countries, but this problem has now balooned, and it's only because the demonrats want civil unrest, rise in crime and demonrat votes.

Astoria, Queens. My background is Greek, actually a real Spartan. The Greek community is big in Astoria. I am a legal immigrant, in the USA for 54 years and I love this country, there is no other like it for freedom.

I worked at two different Greek Diners in Greenwich Village NYC. They taught me the importance of squeezing fresh lemon in chicken soup. Lol 😄
You guys are very hard workers. That's all you do is work those long hours. Not easy, but you all do it.
My hope is, I get to see the isles of Greece one of these days. So beautiful. I love the food too.

I have only been to two islands but want to visit many of them. I was back in Greece only 3 times and one was very short for an emergency, since I left, but I still have lots of family there including my son who was born here in the states but went to Greece and loved it so much that he made it his permanent home. I have a grandson in Greece from him that I never met in person, so a trip for me is overdue.

Go if you can. I am trying to get myself to florida for my brothers wedding but money is an issue and not sure if flying is a good idea these days.

Flying is NOT a good idea, considering all the problems with planes failing due to cutting costs by using cheap materials. A nice drive is relaxing, stop where you want, see a lot of things. My last few trips were all by car.
