This fits with the Enki v Enlil scenario that Laurence Gardner describes. It's impossible to know the truth from the few scraps of documents remaining.
One thing I am sure of is that the Roman Catholic Church has been a corrupted, lying, manipulative political body for its entire existence. Much like our current MSM; if they want to hide something, then there's likely a truth hidden that needs examined.
