2 Chron says we must repent of our sins to be forgiven.
This was written to ppl under the law who had 600+ laws to keep.
Heb 8:
God found fault under the old covenant when they didn't keep their part of the bargain ... then he made a new covenant where the slate of our sins is wiped forever clean...
Heb 10:14:

In the old way, religion tells us we're at the heart of the equation and we must "do" and we'll never know if we did enough til we get to heaven.
