Good morning AU❤️. Please pray for us in Houston. Electricity still out for many and if you’ve ever spent a day here in the summer you know how incredibly hot and humid it gets here. We are being told that Center Point Energy is not paying overtime to its service workers so power is spotty at best and there seems no end in sight. Thank you in advance🥰
Say Patriot, if my power were out I would try get/rent a small generator and run it outside and use a heavy extension cord to plug in my fridge that might help. I'm no electrician but think that typical fridge/freezers draw about 800-1000 watts so a 2kW 1120V generator would maybe work good for me with a 2x safety factor. To preserve my food...
Remember, I'd never run generators indoors or too close to the house (monoxide fumes), and I would store my spare fuel properly in an approved container, and the heavier the extension cord the better. I'd also keep an eye on it like in the back yard cuz everyone will want one.

Yes it's a lot of red tape getting a backup generator in but you can still pretend your out at an RV campsite and fire one up outside, KEEP THAT FOOD COLD! Yipper!
