The U.S. and NATO, should have rejected Ukraine's application to join NATO, IN 2008. U.S. Senators, Graham, McCain, and Klobuchar, instead encouraged Ukraine. Perhaps the US and NATO could have prevented Russian aggression but instead, they encouraged it. (See attached Prior negotiations/agreement between Russia/NATO/US in comments)
