Just a reminder that today like everyday is a good day to stock up on food (canned & non-perishable), water & necessities like meds & pet food. Don't gotta be expensive - think rice, beans & pasta. Whatever you might need just in case of an emergency, so that you're more comfy. Keep fuel tanks topped off (if you can still afford that) and even spare fuel safely stored. A backup generator always nice - for the fridge (run outdoors, use extension cords). Batteries, flashlights (cheap solar landscape lights work great, too). Fill up them BBQ propane bottles in case you need to cook/boil. Your preferred self-defense stuff.
If you're more self-sufficient, you're better prepared to help others out - like those friends and loved ones who don't prepare for nuthin'! Know where your loved ones are at all times and have a plan to "rendezvous".
Don't be scared, be prepared. Preppin' is even in fashion these days, so no one's gonna call you nuts.
