remember it well in kindergarten and early elementary school.. run down quietly t the basement to practise safety if nuclear bomb goes off... right!!!!!!!!! and we did it without fear the way it was presented.. no tv chatter back then.. 1950's. i did have long trauma still do ,of hearing alert sounds from town and i was 200 feet from my house. after school where do i go? neighbors? outside? where is it safe? and finally running to my house to get in the door and then i was okay.. that few minutes as unsure of myself..at 7..
