The figure on the left resembles Tiki who , according to Maori legend in New Zealand, was the first man on earth. I live in New Zealand close to Canaan Downs where Harwood hole plunges deep into the depths of the earth. The 183 meter (600 feet) vertical hole opens up to a vast underground cave system. Canaan downs is also the venue for New Zealands largest annual 'Alternative / Hippie / Pagan " festival. Canaan Down with its marble protruding from the earth is also the film site of Middle Earth in Lord of the Rings. Why does all this creep me out?
