The question is, how do we break that loop so history can't and won't repeat itself....

i've been struggling to get out of Babylon for 25 years or more.
It don't get any easier!
Not everyone can live alone in a cabin in the woods growing their own food, killin'/catchin' their own meat and sewing their own clothes! it's ridiculous!
but i feel better now when i want the best quality of something and i buy German, or Italian... like frying pans, ie
Americans have their specialties too.
But i have to live, so i go for a balance between cost and quality now where previously i sought only American (and couldn't find everything i need).
If you do have to go foreign, you're still supporting some American jobs through shipping, trucking, retail, etc
