I've always wondered about the whole over-population theory. Considering you have people constantly dying from one thing or another...or just old age. The HORRIBLE evil practices of abortion, assisted suicide, etc...
The point being...yes...you do have an increase in population...but you also have an increase in death. It just has never made sense to me. They cram all these sky scrapers, apartment complexes, and such into tiny areas to make it seem like there's not enough space for all the humans...but in reality..."they" are just stacking them into compact areas vs. allowing the population to naturally spread out. Just my own personal conjecturing...
