I would like to clarify a point:
Trump has been impeached for the 2nd time. The Seante is now voting to convict, which is all a political matter not legal. SCOTUS is meant to be a part of Presidential impeachment but it is not a legal matter therefore the result cannot be reviewed by SCOTUS after. Senator Rand forced a vote on Constitutionality of the impeachment that did not recieve 2/3 vote. Conviction was DOE to the Senate, unless a bunch of Senators flip on that point. I highly doubt he will be convicted... let's see what happens!
This is about preservation and enforcement of the original constitution, any loop hole or trick would be ised in the future... the constitution will be followed 100% which means no Trump will not and cannot be convicted... unless we will be having new elections he will be ineligible to run. There is no need for new elections, he won the 1st time. I think new congressional elections will take place.
