They are NOT markers to assist in flying.
I reckon they are "energy" by which, when an aircraft is on "Auto pilot" is actually just flying between these energy points which keeps it airborne.
The only point of a pilot is to take off and land.
This is behind the "onboard" computer and little "black box" system.
