It's so difficult to wake people up to topics (origin, god within, present moment, 'mind' controls -ego, etc.) they've been lied to about, is because they will have to see how one lie is merely a thread that leads to a whole web of lies.
You have to be ready to dismantle many of the things you have been told about reality to untangle yourself from this web (matrix). Most people cannot psychologically handle this level of disillusionment.
