Have been thinking about it as well, and there is something else, too; there may have been some tunnels under there.
A Government big enough to give you anything you want is also big enough to take everything that you have.
All I know is that is prime prairie grazing land up there. The fires are Northeast of Amarillo. Palo Duro Canyon & Timbercreek Canyon are south of Amarillo which is where I suspect tunnels would be if there are any.
