This is my dog.She is very large( male size).
She attacks intruders..even if they are not really intruders but a friend popping in catching her by surprise.eek!She pinned him to the door, feet on chest frothing angrily in his face.Yea...that was not good.Thankfully only minor injury to him as my husband tackled her to the ground like a football player because thats what is required.She aint coming off an intruder willingly.More training is required there.
Moral of the story...do not enter unexpectedly and expect to feel safe.You saw the beware of dog signs when you came in the gate.We told you she is a protection animal and she will protect.On her own turf she is in protect mode.Period.Friend knows to call ahead now.She comes from a line of military dogs with a father imported directly from Germany( not americanized lines) with a pedigree all in German.Her protect instincts are specifically bred into this line.She does her job.But she is a big baby to us.To all others, not so much.
