i knew of steve perry growing up living in our town. dad worked at the mill (very handsome man from what i remember, died young when steve was under 10. sad.. small town in mass. i was a senior and he was in 7th grade when i knew of him before he got famous.. his mother was our town high school gym teacher. she didnt like me. was not a jock in any way, shape or form.and i didnt like her cause she not really nice and picked her faves.. he got kicked out of school. behavior issues (put it together). went to private school eventually. met other musicians and was boo'd at their first concert in the next town.. wish i had the first concert ticket.. actually liked their music- some of it. never came back to his home town. i think hes still alive. like 71 ish? one of the guys was arrested for you know what. will see if he goes too.. not yet.
