A) Start a war where the men are gone and the women step into the work place.
B) Start using the media (i.e. books, magazines, newspapers, tel-LIE-vision, etc.) to glamorize the independent working woman.
C) Start chipping away at the image of "family"...start making all the husbands/dads seem dumb and inept on movies and tv shows...with the women having to be the leaders in their homes.
These are just some of the early ways in which this happened.
