I have thought of this since I was little and pondered it, was gonna employ it last Spring but bs happened and planted late. DEF doing this in one of these gardens.

I sure will. The Chief used to take soil samples to the ag office, only thing that office is good for. BUT would let him know deficiencies in the soil and then amend also.
