The sad part is that some people really need help and some do it and make a living at it. My family and I always try to use discernment and give food and not money.
This is so true. When I see someone with bags of stuff - compared to someone just standing there with a bottle of water, I think twice. The homeless will not leave what little they have anywhere, they always keep it with them.
I always listen to the Lord - He has never failed me.
