I had a similar experience recently. I was driving home after buying pizza in the village nearby. It was snow and the road was icy. I was only driving 30 or 40 km/h when a deer walked down on the road and just stopped in front of me. Looking right towards me. Oh no no no I thought when I hit it. Fortunately I was driving very slow because the road was icy. When I finally managed to stop the car, the deer stood up and runned away seemingly unharmed.
