Article I, Section 3, Clause 6 of the Constitution states, “When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside.”

The Chief Justice is not presiding and Trump is no longer in office.

This sham impeachment and trial are unconstitutional.

Not disagreeing with you, just sharing what I read a couple of weeks ago about the process...And I don't recall the source, so don't shoot the messenger (maybe from FAUX news.) And it may not have been credible, but this is what I've got: It has something to do with him not being a sitting pres so that is supposed to be the reason why.

I somewhat agree with@cuesentme 's point, and I also believe this isn't an impeachment. Without the CJ of SCOTUS, it's all fake and I'm fairly certain CJ isn't a Trump fan. I also think that if Trump believed he was totally out of it, he wouldn't have his attorneys there. There's more than meets the eye going on.
