God is ALREADY Within Us. Jesus Showed Us HOW to Open Our Hearts to RECEIVE & be TRANSFORMED by the I AM THAT I AM SPIRIT of UNIVERSAL LOVE AND LIGHT that is the QUANTUM SOURCE of Our Individual and Collective Being.
Early Christians Knew this because they had access to the Direct Experience of Christs Secret Teachings that were given to the Disciples. They even Formed Communities where People actually Lived and Shared their Experience of Christs Example with One Another. They were called The People of the Way.

The Early Church Fathers set themselves up as Spiritual "MEDDLEMEN" between the mere Belief in God and the DIRECT EXPERIENCE of GOD that was ALREADY Within Us. They Persecuted and Burned those who Dared to have a Direct Experience of the Living God/Christ at the Stake as a Warning to others & to Prevent them from accessing the Fiery, I AM THAT I AM PRESENCE that Dwells in the Inner Temple--the Holy of Holies of our Holo-Fractal Hearts
When we Learn, as Jesus did, How to become One with the Father Within Us, we become Spiritual Midwives through which the Kingdom of the Father-the Body of Christ is made Present Within Ourselves and One Another, HERE AND NOW!
The Body of Christ is the Body of the Universe Transformed and Transmuted into the Holy Spirit of Life and Love Itself!

Makes sense as to why the Gnostics were so heavily persecuted for not needing a middleman to experience the divine nature of God

And the Cathars of Southern France who were Founded, it has been said, by Mary Magdalene and Lived in a Community based upon the Secret Teachings of Jesus that were given to the Disciples--Teachings that were based on Sacred Geometry and Creation of the Light Body that were Compiled in what they Referred to as the BOOK OF LOVE.

They were Labeled as Heretics by the Early Church and Everyone--Men, Women and Children were Burned at the Stake for their Refusal to Submit to the Doctrines of the Church
