Opinion? Or did you know how to do what was asked with it?
If you're looking for some "looking at the pixels" voodoo - no, I didn't do any of that. I have experience with both editing and AI things, and you get a feel for when stuff is fake.
At the low resolution of the post it's impossible to tell, either way. I've seen people use downscaling and compression to hide AI artifacts. The same has been used in image manipulation since the very beginning.
At the higher resolution of the linked post, there's nothing that makes me suspicious, there's additional image material of the event, it has been sourced and quoted many times.
So given the video itself and the context it exists in, I have no reason to believe it's fake.
SO much faked I don't regard the articles attached now as much as I do the actual video shown lately.
I think we're gonna be surprised by how shitty the stars really look with no CGI and doubles etc. Everyone from the 90s fame we know is at least in their 60s now so they are GONNA be old and worn out looking. We keep getting younger-looking edited versions I believe more often than not.
Oh absolutely. A lot of "media" is now just rehashed shit from Twitter anyway. That's why cross referencing is important. Sometimes it all leads back to one, sketchy at best source. There's also still stuff happening in the world, and people reporting on it. It's not always easy to tell the difference, and it is only going to get harder from here on out.
Something people seem forget sometimes, there is more than just simple "true" and "false" - it's a spectrum with a lot of intentional and unintentional manipulation in-between.
- It's true, but the story is not as exciting as news makes it out to seem
- It's true, but the story has been "polished up" to appeal to a certain audience or emotion
- It's true, but critical facts have been left out to imply a different context
- It's true, but adjacent lies are sprinkled in
Plus, same thing, but replace "true" with "false".
There's fact, there's fiction, and in-between there's the stuff you read and see online.
