I also wonder if silver factors into it... silver and gold were money in our constitution.
I'm not clear on this point.
As I understand it, US currency is gold-backed
but UK is Sterling, which is silver,
& Zimbabwe is going with diamonds.
However — WHATEVER is backing your currency
gold, silver, diamonds, land, oil, etc.
