The issue with the reports that there are 777 books not in the Bible is who says this? It is passed along in posts in many social media sites. We just accept it. We also accept that the Omnipotent God of all creation allows His Holy Word to be altered, diminished, reduced when He could easily prevent that. Why would the Lord allow His Word to be adulterated? More books do not necessarily equal more truth. People do not really know much about the books in the Bible. I’ve been reading it from Genesis through Revelations and there are many, many challenging passages that no one really understands. It takes deep and sustained study to understand His Word. Many people may not realize that He dictated it to the prophets, Judges, Solomon, and gospel writers. They did not create it, He did.

Certainly it has been edited and translated and altered but has it been thus destroyed so that the Word is no longer divine? No. The Word lives no matter what people do to it. God reaches His people through His living Word. One of the greatest deceptions they orchestrated is from their historic councils where untrue doctrines were codified. And yet the living Word reaches into our hearts and minds because God makes it so.
