I heard the same thing about air fryers.
The coating they use in air fryers is toxic. Never used mine since i heard that

I'm waiting for something to be wrong with air fryers, seeing as those have been pushed so heavily, along with stock pots or whatever they're called.

Only because they don't want you to use it . It is an antiseptic will cauterize any germs in your mouth plus. Choose yellow before the minty fresh. Gargle minty before yellow and then let my know which one told your mouth I'm here to sear clean your mouth .

Funny you should post this. I cook a lot with my pressure cooker and worry about the coating in the pot part.
If anyone sees a 10 qt insert for a pressure cooker let me know.
