My father, LCDR Allan R Smelley (USNA. SWOS, USN-PGS Nuclear Physics) was supposedly murdered at his LLNL lab in 72 and I wanted to know if you ever met him?
Is it possible that being one of the top nuclear physicists for the military at the time that his death was 'faked' to place him in a prominent role in the WH plan?
Something has ALWAYS seemed off about his death and we, his family, have never gotten any answers despite years of asking.
Thank you for reading and caring even if you have no answers. I constantly seek them and should have contacted Rickover before he died but ... was very young then.
