For me I asked Lord raise up memories where I need to forgive. Surprised things I thought forgiven rose up...realized I needed to forgive deeper, layers.
Heard someone pray: I forgive.... in the name of Jesus, Lord please bless them.
It is working! Also realized scripture talks about "Guard your heart guard your mind..." Realized 2 part connection to forgiveness.

I also ask Lord give them back what's their's & I take back what's mine...it has helped disconnect from the drama or story line. Scripture says "forgetting what lays behind I press on.." I discovered if I keep rehashing I do NOT overcome and forget... When I forgive God removes the sting of the memory...also removes the filter I see through. The past unforgiveness filter distorts today, like a trigger. Heal trigger reaction and action change.

We live in a world that PUMPS bitterness & resentment....I choose God's Kingdom today, right now. I have been asking God take MY JUDGEMENT. All judgement left to God

1 of 2: Thanks for taking time to write to me. Resentment and rehashing is very bad..... Stinking thinking.... I see things here in NY where I grew up and it triggers memories.... Not all good. I am grateful I can see my part in the drama and ask God for his grace... usually. I try to do nice unexpected things for others and I get back exponentially. I especially try to do that after someone has been unkind to me. It really works for me.
