Long story short
Lost dog with cone on head walking the footpath next to busy road.
I pull over to guide the dog into a side street
Dog panicked and ran onto busy road.
What do ya do?
I became traffic officer.
Accident averted.
Dog made it safely to footpath
Try Again

I was dog-sitting and their dog bolted while I was holding his leash and walking down the steps, and I pitched forward and sprained my ankle. At least its not broken, but yeah it sucks for me. The dogs' owners left yesterday morning w their dog, and now I'm struggling to care for myself and my own dog in the moment.
Accidents happen and that's why they aren't called "On Purposes" πŸ˜€.
My take-away is to Stay agile and willing to adapt to changed circumstances.
