I've been to the KSA and their media is controlled. And freedom of speech did not exist at the time.
In America, I mentored a group of Saudi's while they were studying at the local university. Upon graduation, I asked what they would miss about living in the US. Most answered that being able to say anything they want outside their home was what they would miss.
Freedom is a priveledge that so many Americans seem willing to give away.
Very troublesome, to say the least.
