Well ... except that list is not accurate. Yep, Oprah and Bezos (and PayPay's Thiel) have mansions there that weren't touched by the fires. But pretty sure the rest don't. A couple of them had mansions on Kauai, but they sold them years ago. And Gates had, or has, a place on Lanai, not affected by fires either.
