a couple years ago a friend and I took our kids camping in a wicked thunderstorm. we didn't anticipate it being too bad, but it was scary because all we had was a tent and all old trees around us. i prayed that time! fortunately a storm blew through a week prior and knocked a lot of deadwood down already. the next day the only other campers who stayed besides us got their truck stuck in the mud.

i would expect weather warfare events for sure
you can't stump a new englander with a storm though, it's just normal for us
heavy, big floods, if they do those, are usually a nasty hiccup though

we get blizzards and ice storms and lose power when it's below freezing. we get flooded roads and wind damage occasionally. if ppl here get scared its only from the fear mongering media. trust me
