I had the great pleasure to talk with someone
in the early 1970’s
who was over for dinner at my friend’s house.
He refused to get his Academy Award.
He had the hottest movie at the time. One of my Top 10 favorites.
The reason he wouldn’t go is he’d had a talk with an actress
who had received the award.
She kept it, but hid it because she came to understand
what it stood for. They were old time A-listers.
He said, 'Yeah I’m not gonna take that either.
I don’t want to have ANYTHING TO DO WITH THOSE'
he had some colorful words,
because of the fact that he invoked God
& did not want to be associated in any way with the Godless crowd
giving out the award
because he understood what it stood for 💥
I still believe in the goodness and generosity of the American people. I love my country and will always STAND for GOD, Family and Freedom.
On the Waterfront was my favorite movie.
He was extraordinary in it.

I remember most about that
My father in law was very angry that Marlon did this. How dare he stand up against them.
We were Clueless about anything Hollywood back then.
Father in law had no God in his heart.
WW2 ruined him.
He was one of the fellas that buzzed the tower . Big mistake!

I was in SAG/AFTRA many years. Things coming out like this just rock me. I finally quit (paying those dues) about seven years ago, in fact, at the beginning of the Great Awakening.
STILL being awakened. Thank God I couldn't afford cable any longer in 2010. Life has made more sense.
