The Annunaki gave us their DNA, but, turned off those parts that provide, longevity, healing, clairvoyance, telepathy, telekinesis... because they did not want us to challenge them... instead, they made us to be prolific.
Every 3600 years or so, they return to gather the gold, and reduce the population to manageable numbers.
However, this time, I think other galactic civilizations are stepping in to stop them.
