At the end, he is describing individuals that are so far different than what most of think as human. Our books for hundreds of years have references to reptilian brains, "you're looking green at the gills", etc. It is my humble opinion that some individuals have very different genetics than others, perhaps a higher percentage of some code compared to others. Probably all of us are hybrids for the sake of discussion, just some are jacked up in this area compared to others. It would make sense why certain behaviors cannot be "cured". The reason everything seems to be so in our face right now--in my opinion-- is that we have to be provoked to defend ourselves or we will go extinct from the constant attacks on "humanity".
