Senators represent their state's interest - not the people
Representatives are supposed to represent the people in their districts, whom they basically ignore except during election years.
One this is for sure, they are our employees, or at least that is how it is supposed to work.
Actually, until the corporation (which is the United States) is taken down, the Senate and House do not represent "We the People". They actually represent the Corporation. Research the Act of 1871.
