The God I met was better, was e everything everywhere, so good and loving that the perspective that evil could not exist in God's presence. God is so much more than what we have been told.

My perspective is that no matter the history, God will still be God, the teachings of Jesus will still be words to live by, and what falls away is not as important to our relationship with God now, and in the future.
God is still, has always been, and will always be the most powerful entity in existence, and we are pieces of Him. IMHO.
