Also, their is so much fraud and people being tricked in to lying to us saying they are with the irs or fbi need cash or to make a wire to avoid jail. Seems silly, but people fall for it all the time. I do work to only protect my clients, not to defend the broken system.
I'm a manager at a bank and this is not unusual. Large cash withdrawals are typically ordered due to the risk to our teammates and clients. Especially if it is unusual activity for the client. We never stop a client from taking their money, it may not be how they want it cash vs cashiers check.
