he was surrounded by.. Military brass
who were CONSTANTLY exhorting him to go to war..
HE NEVER SENT A SINGLE COMBAT TROOP ABROAD..
He ended up sending 16k advisors to Vietnam..
A month before he died,
he heard that a Green Beret had died in Vietnam
& asked one of his aides to give him a casualty list.
The list had 75 Americans who died in Vietnam.
JFK said, “That’s too much..”
That day he signed NSAM 263
that ordered every service person home from Vietnam..
He was assassinated a month later
& a week after his death that order was remanded.
LBJ sent 550k troops to Vietnam.
56k never came home including my cousin George Skakel
& WE KILLED 1 MILLION VIETNAMESE.
We went off on this path with the MIL Industrial Complex
that Eisenhower warned about..
that the emerging MIC would devour our Democracy..
That’s where we are today
