Here is something funny I noticed in my own life. I hurt my back weight lifting when I was in my 20s. Pain relief led me to study Yoga. First I was just concerned with postures and stretching but as time went on and I read more and more I really got hooked on the philosophy. As I tried to put things into practice a thought came to me, I am trying to unbrainwash myself from all the crap I had been taught in school and by the catholic church. Obviously reading, writing, mathematics, science are all really important subjects, but the important things like health/exercise, proper diet, how to properly interact with people and the hidden outcomes, none of that is taught in traditional schools. The unbrainwashing was not easy and it can creep back in without you even realizing it.
