Apologies, I'm a bit confused here. I have heard about the 'fires' in California, but what is that to do with NY, thousands of miles away? Sorry for any ignorance, from the UK here and don't understand why NY is covered in red smog at the moment.

We live about 20 miles north of DC and we are getting that haze here as well.
Granted it doesn't look like NYC here nor has it since these fires started but it is blocking out some of the sun and there is definite haze in the air.
These people are sick and performing weather warfare against us!
Praying for our Canadian friends and all those whose lives are affected by these fires.
Oh, and EFF 15 minute cities! I will relocate back to Wyoming (my home state) to the vast family ranch and DARE THESE PSYCHO FREAKS to come find us without some serious pushback.
