The story of the Paper Whites
I had a friend who kept insisting on putting in paper whites in her landscaping. Every year she kept losing them. I kept telling her that they are that one thing in her yard that required a different kind of care. They needed to be brought inside to shelter them from cold, needed a little extra love, and special nutrition. She continued to care for them the same way as every other plant in her landscape.
As I thought about this, I realized that there are those people in our lives who are paper whites. Unique, beautiful, and need to be loved in a way that is different from how I care for others in my life.
