EN OCTOBRE 2002, la veuve d'un officier de longue date de l'OSS/CIA, le colonel Russell Hermann (à l'origine une recrue de la Garde côtière), a approché la Federal Reserve Bank à Omaha et l'entrée demandée. Elle a été interrogée - "qui êtes-vous ?"
Sa réponse fut succincte : "Je suis VK Durham du Durham Trust, et je suis le principal créancier des États-Unis d'Amérique."
