QUESTION: Would you still work if you didn't need the money? If everyone is wealthy, who will stock the shelves? Work the factory lines? Pick vegetables? Drive trucks?

'everyone is wealthy' isn't the goal. working just for a paycheck, also isn't the goal.

we need to be doing things that we are passionate about and that advance humanity in a direction that benefits us all - not just slinging burgers and churning out widgets because that's what the bossman wants.

Who is going to fling burgers? I just see a flaw in this new system. Not everyone is passionate about stocking shelves.. but they still need to be stocked. Not everyone is passionate about picking vegetables, but they still need to be picked.

someone who's 65 shouldn't be slinging burgers. arguably, someone shouldn't be doing that at all.

i wholly agree with you -- people aren't getting away from work. but there is so much we do manually today that doesn't need to be. yes, the world is going to change, and yes, new tech creates new jobs.

arguably, farming should be more local -- you don't have mega farms that need mass groups of migrants to harvest - farmers can manage ranch hands within their communities.

the 'grocery store' doesn't need to be a supermarket. people producing for themselves/locally, dealing direct with farmers, and not eating oreos and twinkies, there is suddenly less need for grocery store labor.

we need to be focusing our energy and our people on bigger problems and bigger solutions.

I know that.. unless you 'work' or do something to earn money.. money is meaningless to you. It's has no power or value. That's with anything.. college degree.. money.. your home.. if you are 'given' everything.. nothing has value.

i'm still not sure you understand that i'm agreeing with you...

😁 Now I do! I just question the 'millionaire' mindset of our future. I think it's scary. I know some people that are focused on it.. instead of saving the children. Good conversation!

gotta have people who are 'on our side' and of the right mindset to help rebuild. rebuilding takes $ and has to be selfless, but intelligent, $.

can't be fighting every aspect of the war at all times - have to have people focused on distinct tasks/missions. while there are so many aspects of life that need reform, we need focused attention on each - that's someone's 'job'.
yes, societal issues need all of our attention, but saving the children can't be a fulltime gig for everyone, though it should be a fulltime concern for all, else we don't have anyone helping to build for the future.
