Years ago while in grade school the local dentists all promoted fluoride treatments, all the students got the treatment while in class.... lucky us we got a free toothbrush too. Does fluoride really help your teeth?... doubt it, another lie.
Remember the pink pill they would give you to chew on so you could see the tartar you left after brushing. Such BS. Pretty sure there wasn't a parental admission slip for that either.
