Has anyone else noticed that the sun seems much brighter than it used to be....even when I wear my sunglasses which are polarized?

In the 70's the sun was a deep orange.
You could look at it (not long) but no where near as intense as today.
Also, Noon in many places was the hotest part of the day, not 400 or 500 P.M.
I’ve been telling my daughter this for awhile now…. She remembers even in the 90’s it was not a white bright sun
