Excuse the language, if it offends you, but this is important and 💯 fact. I am glad it is finally being exposed.

Yup, my doctor back in the day wrote me benzos for the first time when I was 21.
Never knew anything about the effects and withdrawals until I tried to quit years later… was on them for a very long time. Hardest thing I ever did in my life was experience the long term side effects from stopping taking them. So scary. Never knew I would experience such severe anxiety and suffering from something I was told was safe and was was on a dangerously high dose. It’s was absolutely agony and hell, but somehow I made it. Thank God

God bless you.
I've had a million surgeries and was hooked on opioids for years. Spent two stints in rehab, 2nd one was Betty Ford up in MN back in 2018 for a month. You're right, getting off this crap is pure hell. PURE HELL AND AGONY. People that haven't experienced it have no clue how bad it is.
Pray you stay well.

I know from first-hand experience as well. I was on Xanax mostly for about 30 years. My heart was beating out of my chest and they never addressed that in the detox I went to for pain pills. About two weeks after stopping.
Not to mention everything after that.
