HE WAS AN ALCOHOLIC AND WOULD GET VIOLENT AND BEAT US AND MY MOTHER WHEN HE GOT DRUNK WHEN I WAS A KID. HE WOULD NEVER TALK ABOUT THE WAR UNTIL I CAME BACK FROM KOREA AND WE WERE ON COMMON GROUND.
