Let's get our terminology correct - only those folks who have committed to the hormonal therapy and surgical procedures to permanently change their gender are "transgender" - all others are "transvestites" - putting on the "vestige" of the opposite sex - like a costume. Let's not lump them all together as "trans" - it gives transvestites credibility they don't deserve.
