This was a good book about the people and events leading up to the Theranos trial. What I learned:
The fraud was really only considered "worthwhile" once the investors took a hit--nobody seemed to care that patients were given questionable test results at best, dangerous at worst.
We have similar cancer blood tests and soon multi-cancer early detection tests (MCEDs) may be available. Will these be any more accurate or safer, and will we only find out if there is some financial fraud and investors lose?
